Day 14 of the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas showcased a thrilling display of poker talent. With the $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em and the $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw events in full swing, the tables were packed with the game’s top players, each vying for WSOP glory.

Daniel Vampan Wins the $3,000 6-Handed Limit Hold'em

The sole bracelet awarded on Day 14 went to Daniel Vampan, who triumphed in Event #25: $3,000 6-Handed Limit Hold’em. Vampan outlasted nine other finalists in a field that saw intense competition from start to finish. His victory secured him the $148,635 top prize and the coveted gold bracelet, marking a significant milestone in his poker career. The final table was a battle of skill and endurance, but Vampan’s strategic prowess and steady composure allowed him to rise above the rest. This win not only adds a prestigious WSOP title to Vampan’s resume but also demonstrates his exceptional talent in limit hold’em, positioning him as a player to watch in future events.

Gladiators of Poker Nears the Finish Line

Event #20: $300 Gladiators of Poker No-Limit Hold’em, which began with an astonishing 20,647 players, is now down to just 14 contenders. Simon Britton leads the pack with 67,100,000 chips, but with an average stack of less than 18 big blinds, the title is still anyone’s to claim. Notably, Day 1a chip leader Caleb Levesque remains in the mix, aiming for an incredible wire-to-wire victory.

Yingui Li Leads the $25K High Roller Into the Final Day

The $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em (8-Handed) event saw 19 players advance to the final day, led by Yingui Li with 5,600,000 chips. Among the notable players returning are Shaun Deeb, Day 1 chip leader Samuel Laskowitz, and Nick Schulman, all holding substantial stacks. This event, rich with talent from the $25K Fantasy Draft, guarantees each player at least $62,737, with the champion set to take home a massive $1,667,842.

Tomoki Matsuda Leads the $1,500 Big O

Tomoki Matsuda from Japan leads the final 20 players in Event #27: $1,500 Big O, demonstrating his prowess in five-card Pot-Limit Omaha. Among the notables is Sammy Farha, a three-time bracelet winner who sits in tenth place and is eager to end a 14-year bracelet drought. Nathan Gamble, another bracelet winner, also remains in contention but faces an uphill battle as the second-shortest stack.

Nick Maimone and Phil Hellmuth Progress in the $1,500 NLHE Freezeout

Event #28: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout attracted 2,319 players, now narrowed to 215, with Brian Barker leading into Day 2. Among the notable names advancing are Nick Maimone and Phil Hellmuth. Maimone, known for his strategic prowess and previous WSOP success, is well-positioned for a deep run, while Hellmuth, the “Poker Brat,” adds an extra layer of excitement with his quest for a 17th bracelet. The freezeout format, where players cannot re-enter once eliminated, heightens the stakes and drama. As Day 2 unfolds, Maimone’s calculated play and Hellmuth’s aggressive style promise an exciting continuation of the tournament.

Benny Glaser Aims for Back-to-Back Titles in $10K 2-7 Triple Draw

Event #29: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship began with 125 players, now whittled down to 65 for Day 2. Naoya Kihara leads the field, but the competition remains intense with seasoned pros like Marco Johnson and Bryce Yockey in close pursuit. Reigning champion Benny Glaser, aiming for back-to-back victories, sits just outside the top ten, ready to make his move. Glaser’s quest to defend his title adds an extra layer of excitement to the event, promising a thrilling continuation as the remaining players battle for supremacy.
