Big news in the world of poker today as GGPoker, the world’s biggest poker site, is offering $150,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools for their inaugural GG Online Championships. Bigger is better and the biggest scoop of the year so far is on GGPoker.
Launching on May 5th, GGPoker is hosting the GG Online Championship. This tournament series will feature over 100 different events and has promised $150 Million in guaranteed prize pools. This series will run right through the end of May giving all players a chance to compete.
GGPoker recognizes the diverse range of players that are part of our community; from the all time greats like Daniel Negreanu to the rank amateur who are jumping into the world of online poker for the first time. To ensure that all of our players have a chance in this massive tournament series, each of the events will be offered at multiple buy-ins.
The big scoop in the GG Online Championship is each of the 131 events in the series will be held with up to 4 buy-in levels. The Low tournaments offer buy-ins ranging from $5 up to $250 offering guarantees from $15,000 to a cool million. The Medium events range from $50 to $2,625 with guarantees starting at $30,000 and offers 7 events with at least $1,000,000. The High and Super High events start with buy-ins of $500 and $5,250 and offer the biggest guarantees of $6,000,000 and $2,500,000 respectively. Everyone will have a chance and can compete to scoop all the chips, becoming a GGPoker champion.
All told, of the 131 events, 40 offer guarantees of at least $1,000,000 but the biggest events of the tournament series are the GGOC Main Event and the Super MILLION$. The second biggest tournament of the series, the GGOC Main Event, is set to run its final day on May 29th. This $1,500 buy-in event, which offers multiple Day 1’s, has a $8,000,000 guarantee.
The biggest tournament of the series is the $10,300 buy-in Super MILLION$. Day 2 of this event runs on May 22nd offers a massive $10,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
As if that is not enough of a scoop, GGPoker is sprinkling the GGOC with $500,000 in Leaderboard prizes split over the buy-in ranges, Low and Medium each having a board while the High and Super High share the 3rd board. Play in as many or as few events as you want, climb up the Leaderboards and show the world you are a champion.
The series starts off with 4 events on May 5th and nearly $3,000,000 in guaranteed prizes.
The premier event is a trio of Bounty Hunter tournaments starting at 16:30 UTC. The series continues at 17:10 UTC with the first Omaholics event. The third trio of events of the day is the Thursday Thiller Bounty. The $2,100 buy-in High event of these tournaments is the first event of the series with a $1,000,000 guarantee. The final event of the first day is a set of Omaholic Bounty tournaments. All told, this makes for an exciting launch to an amazing tournament series.

Start Friday With $650,000!
With Day 1 of the GGPoker GG Online Championship completed, we head into the first Friday of this online poker championship. Even with only 3 events on the slate, Friday is setting up to be an exciting day.
Friday’s events start at 16:30 UTC with 3 tiers of Bounty Hunter tournaments with buy-ins at $5.25, $52.50 and $525. If you just do not feel like playing in that event, at 18:00 UTC all levels of the Friday Night Fight starts with $325,000 guaranteed between the 3 tournaments.
The final event on the premier Friday is the TGIF Hyper Turbo 6-max. These tournaments start at 20:00 UTC. Just like the other events, this one is also available at 3 buy-ins, $5, $50 and $500.

With almost $15,000,000 in guaranteed prizes, the first weekend of the GGPoker GG Online Championships promises to be exciting. With the first 2 days of this online poker tournament series in the books, this first weekend will have plenty of options for everyone to scoop up some sweet guaranteed prizes.
Saturday starts a bit earlier with the first event, event #8 kicking off at 15:00 UTC. The 3 buy-ins for the Saturday Superstack are $25 for the Low, $250 for the Medium and $1,500 for the High. These tournaments are offering $300,000 in guarantees, not a bad start off a weekend of online poker.
The big event on Saturday is the Saturday Knockout. This bounty-style tournament starts at 18:00 UTC. This trio of tournaments buy buy-ins at $25, $150 and $1,050 with guarantees of $75,000, 125,000 and $250,000. What a great way to spend a Saturday and kick off your weekend!
With 12 events for a total of 36 tournaments completed or almost completed, and just over $5,000,000 in guarantees won, the GG Online Championship goes into high gear Sunday.
This first Sunday GGPoker is hosting 9 events for a total of 37 tournaments, including the first Super High buy-in event.
Sunday starts at 14:00 UTC with a trio of Sunday Marathon events. These tournaments have you start with big starting stacks and slow blinds making for a true marathon of online poker. Jump in for a share of $150,000, $250,000 or $500,000 at the three stake levels.
At 16:30 UTC this tournament series hosts another Bounty Hunter event with 2 of the 3 tournaments offering at least $1,000,000 in guaranteed prizes. And at 17:00 UTC the GGMasters runs. The GGMasters, like many other GGPoker major weekly events, has been folded into the GG Online Championship for the duration of the series and offers 3 buy-ins. The High Roller event for this edition of the Masters, has a $1,050 buy-in and has guaranteed a $1,000,000 prize pool.
Sunday continues with a set of Omaholic Bounty tournaments at 17:40 UTC, followed by another set of Bounty tournaments at 18:30 UTC, the Sunday Main Event runs at 19:00 UTC and the Sunday Mulligan at 20:00 UTC. The High buy-in event for the Sunday Million is a Super High Roller tournament with a $25,500 buy-in and offering a $1.5 Million guarantee.
The day finishes with the Sunday Healer Bounty tournaments at 21:00 UTC and finally the Sunday Saver that starts at 23:00 UTC.
The big event for this first Sunday of the GG Online Championships is the Super MILLION$ High Rollers. With a $10,300 buy-in and $2,500,000 guaranteed prize, this huge tournament is sure to be the cream of the crop.
Through the end of Sunday, the GG Online Championships will have given away over $18 Million in guaranteed prizes through 21 events and 64 tournaments. This may seem like a lot, but that is barely over 10% of the entire series prize pools. We still have a tonne of online poker to play.
