Week 2 of the Spring 2024 GGPoker Omaholics Series has been completed. Another 30 events ran on Sunday and nearly 200 have been completed since we last looked at the series and you, the players, have won over $3.6 million across all of these events, and that’s just in this series. That continues the trend of players winning more than $25,000 every hour or over $425 each minute throughout the entire series. There are still 6 more days of Omaha left to play and the energy around the series is still insatiable. Onto the winners.

Tournament Results

The first big event for the past week was the $5,250 Bounty Hunters SHR (Super High Roller), tournament which started at 16:30 UTC and saw 14 players globally sign up to compete for a share of the $50,000 guarantee. The event, which ended with a $70,000 prize pool, concluded in under 3 hours, with ‘J Kronwitter‘ securing the top position after defeating ‘Dante Fernandes’ heads up. Both players earned over $20,000, including the bounties, with ‘J Kronwitter’ claiming the title, $17,153.43 for the win, and $24,375 in bounties.

Fast-forwarding a few hours to 19:00 UTC was the only big buy-in big guarantee tournament of the GGPoker Omaholics Series day. The $10,300 buy-in Thursday Super HR (High Rollers) showcased some intense action. The $100,000 guarantee attracted was enough to find ample high rollers and when late registration was completed, a total of 12 players had bought their way in, ready to play a $10K mid-week event, creating a total prize pool of $120,000, exceeding the guarantee. ‘Jo Jouhkimainen topped this tournament, securing the top prize of $77,220 while ‘S Satubayev’ consoled himself with $41,580 for second place.

Omaha For The Weekend

The next big event, and the only big one for the Friday series was the Secret KO [Mystery Bounty]. This $52.50 buy-in tournament started at 18:00 UTC and guaranteed $50,000. Incredibly, 1,418 players found the courage and jumped at the chance to take down this Friday session, creating a total prize pool of $70,900. While the prize pool and bounties were shared by the final 206 players, only 1 would claim victory. Seven hours and fourty-five minutes passed before ‘LORD-BOLTIMN’ earned $8,223.18 for winning the tournament, including $3,260 in bounties. Another happy finisher was ‘Happy-AYA’ who was KOed in 46th but did find the big $5,000 mystery bounty.

Saturday featured 2 $50,000 guaranteed events, the $525 Secret KO [Mystery Bounty] and the $52.50 Secret KO [Mystery Bounty], both started at 18:00 UTC. The bigger buy-in, $525 tournament brought 117 poker players to the felt creating a prize pool of $58,500. While the third-place finisher, ‘xxMatSon,’ earned $8,000 in bounties, it was ‘Alfred Karlsson’ who topped the event with $5,500 in bounties and $7,462.47 for the victory. The $52.50 event with the same name had 1,435 players jump in to create a total prize pool of $71,750. It was ‘Benbluffs,’ flying the UK flag taking first place and $5,681.87, including $659 in bounties, for the victory; however, the fourth place finisher, ‘LE JOUEUR’ who was the big winner, earning $7,933 in bounties and $1,897.96 for the finish. 

What About Sunday?

Sunday, like all Sundays, brings all of the biggest events. First of which was the $10,300 Sunday Super HR (High Roller). The event guaranteed $150,000 and attracted 21 players, swelling the prize pool to $210,000. It took just 3.5 hours for ‘Gavin Andreanoff’ to put down the competition and earn $89,913 for the victory. A smaller version of the event, the $1,050 Sunday HR Main Event, ran concurrently. Offering a $75,000 guarantee, 98 players signed up to take part. Running more than twice as long as the $10K event, when the last hand was dealt it was ‘Mads Amot’ taking home the victory and $22,535.29 top prize. 

The next Sunday event was the $525 Sunday Secret KO HR [Mystery Bounty]. Offering a $150,000 was enough to have 369 players pay up and compete, creating a prize pool of $184,500. The tournament was won by ‘Dimitri Holdeew’ who earned $28,366.95 including $10,360 in bounties for the win, Nicholas Maimone hit the biggest bounty and won over $29,000 for finishing 6th. At the same time, the $52.50 buy-in version of that tournament ran with a slightly smaller guarantee, $100,000. Taking just an hour longer to run, this version of the tournament attracted 2,355 players, creating a prize pool of $117,750. ‘IM A BIG BOY’ won the event, earning $1,075 in bounties and $7,491.71 for the result while 23rd place finisher ‘Dovbyk A’ was the big winner, earning $27,016.67 with $26,706 in bounties.

The $2,100 buy-in Sunday Bounty Very Big Game HR posted a $75,000 guarantee for the most daring of players. When late registration was completed, a total of 80 players courageously stepped into play, creating prize pool of $160,000, more than double the guarantee. The tournament played out in 5.25 hours with Anton Suarez claiming the top spot, $16,031.61 for the victory and an additional $23,093.75 in bounties.

Anything Else? What About What's Coming Next?

The last of the weekends’ big events was another pair of concurrent tournaments, the Sunday Bounty Hunters. The smaller of the 2 was a $525 buy-in, $100,000 guarantee. It attracted 286 players to create a prize pool of $143,000. Top spot in this event went to ‘Sarahcall1’ who earned $31,647.79, including $19,366.25 in bounties, for the victory. The big version of this tournament had a $125,000 guarantee with a $5,250 buy-in. Thirty-eight players jumped into the action fighting for a share of the $190,000 prize pool. When it was finished, Finland topped the charts as Eelis Parssinen came out victorious with $29,892.33 for the win on top of $33,437.50 in earned bounties. 

The competition continues to be fierce as the Omaholics battle it out for $100,000 on the Leaderboard. Three hundred players will be paid out on the leaderboard with the top prize being C$10,000. Currently, Murilo Milhomem is in the lead with 3,478.3, after swapping top spot with ‘kohuliikemies_’, who is now in second with 3,411.45. There are still hundreds of tournaments still scheduled over the next week and you can be assured the battle will be fun.

With over a week of play still remaining in the series, millions in prize money are yet to be claimed.
