Week 2 of the 2024 GGPoker microFestival!

The first full week of the 2024 GGPoker microFestival, where the buy-ins are small, but the thrills are immense, has been completed! The series, which started on June 23, is still running with daily tournaments with the biggest guarantees for the smallest of stakes. This is your chance to win some big bucks on some of the smallest buy-ins in the industry. Get in on the series now before it ends on July 7.

The microFestival Mystery Bounty

This year’s microFestival brings more value and chances to win big. With buy-ins beginning at just $1, everyone can join in the excitement. The centerpiece of the series is the $10.80 Mystery Bounty Main Event, boasting a $1 million guarantee and a top mystery bounty of $100,000. Imagine turning a modest buy-in into a life-changing win! What’s Happened Since the Last Update?

The last update for the microFestival covered the bigger events for all of the games until June 27th. So here we have some results through June 30th. How did you do? Will your name be written into the annals of history? Here’s a look at what happened just this past weekend in the microFestival.

 

The first big event of the series this past weekend was Event 76-KO: $25 GGMasters Sunday Bounty Special Edition. This event had the honour of being the biggest guarantee for the weekend, $150,000, and tied for the biggest buy-in of any event in the microFestival series. The event started on Sunday, June 30th and took just over 9.75 hours to complete. There were a total of 8,820 players who bought in for the $25, creating a prize pool of $202,860. At the end of the event, ‘ OddsDontLie’ claimed the victory and enjoyed $7,894.61 for the effort along with $6,032.49 in bounties. 

 

Another $100K+ event which ran over the weekend was Event 68-KO: $10.80 Saturday Secret KO [Mystery Bounty], which offered a $125,000 guarantee in a mystery bounty format. The $10.80 buy-in attracted 16,311 players, creating a $162,131.34 prize pool. Taking just over 9.5 hours to complete, it was ‘xueruni’ as the last player standing, earning $7,677.12 plus $88.30 in bounties. While finishing first in any tournament is always a great success, the happiest player in the tournament was ‘Slimdaddy’. While they only finished 133rd, earning a mere $60.34 for playing, they found the biggest bounty of the tournament and went home with a total of $12,568.80.

 

The biggest non-bounty event of the weekend was Event 76: NLH: $25 GGMasters Sunday Special Edition. This tournament promised players a $100,000 guarantee, and 5,228 poker players joined to create a total prize pool of $120,244. The tournament ended 9 hours and 49 minutes later when ‘BeerTimeee’, ‘Seu Sacani’, and ‘Zeibilein’ came to a 3-way chop earning $9,853.18, $9,282.84, and $10,511.95, respectively. After the chop, it was ‘BeerTimeee’ who claimed the ultimate victory.

 

Event 78-NLH: $15 Sunday Hundred Grand, was another $100,000 guarantee tournament that ran over the weekend. This event brought 7,485 players to the tables. The number of players was just enough to exceed the guaranteed and created a total prize pool of $103,293. Just 5 minutes past the 10th hour of play, the tournament finally ended with ‘Felinho25’ defeating ‘rafdut’ to earn $10,414.08.

 

The biggest Pot Limit Omaha event was Event 68-PLO: Sunday Omaholic Secret KO [Mystery Bounty]. This $25,000 Guaranteed tournament attracted 2,961 players, creating a prize pool of $29,432.34. The last bounty hunter was defeated by ‘BBHDAMT7angels’, who earned the victory and $1,836.79, including $103 in bounties. The big winner of the event was ‘MarioPro’ who finished 13th for $92.42 but did find the big mystery bounty and earned $2,508.50 additional in captured bounties.

 

The other big Omaha tournament was Event 78-PLO: $15 Sunday Omaholic Bounty Main Event. Offering a $20,000 guarantee on a $15 buy-in, it attracted 1,594 players, creating a total prize pool of $21,997.20. It took ‘jokke123’ just over 7.75 hours to claim victory and earn the top prize of $906.01 plus an additional $1,304.69 in bounties.
