Event #9: Santa’s Sled Bounty Turbo
The ninth official event of the Winter Giveaway Series was Santa’s Sled Bounty Turbo tournament. This No Limit Hold’em Progressive bounty tournament offered players a chance at a $2 Million guarantee, plus the $100,000 add-on, all for just $25. By the end of late registration, a total of 86,801 poker players had joined through the various Day 1’s to create a total prize pool of $2,096,423, including the add-on.
Of the starting players, 9,898 survived to day 2, which took 6.25 hours to play. When the final hand was dealt, it was ‘BEL!EVER’ standing alone atop the podium, having collected $43,655.78 for the first place finish and $32,828.87 in bounties. Second place went to ‘FLOFLOS’, falling just short of the victory but earning $43,268.56 plus $9,233.01 in bounties. ‘Madein China’ finished third, earning $34,381.74 and $6,654.05 in bounties during this hard-fought battle.
Event #10: Crazy Eights
Event #8 got underway on Tuesday, December 24th. This was a Christmas Eve $88 buy-in tournament with a $100,000 guarantee plus the $5,000 add-on as part of the Winter Series Giveaway. It took just over 8.75 hours to complete this No Limit Hold’em tournament as 1,433 runners paid their way to play for a share of the prize pool, which totaled $121,015.68. When the tournament ended, it was ‘threedd’ winning first place and earning $14,925.58 after defeating ‘MillionInAWeek’, who earned $11,508.41 in a heads-up battle. ‘S Saltanau’ finished third and earned $8,874.19 to celebrate the holiday.
Event #11: Christmas Day [Mystery Bounty]
The next day, Christmas Day, GGPoker hosted the $125 buy-in Event #11: Christmas Day [Mystery Bounty] tournament. With a guarantee of $500,000, this event attracted 6,221 players, all of whom were determined to celebrate Christmas in the best way possible. After the $25,000 added value, the prize pool for the event was $740,415 and offered a top mystery bounty of $60,000.
With the number of players in the event, it took just over 11 hours to complete, and when it was all over, ‘king_kong21’ stood tall over the competition, earning $43,582.13 for the victory and $2,950 in bounties. Sitting in second place after a worthy battle was ‘Senor Perez’, who earned $32,679.08 plus $3,330 in bounties The last spot on the podium was claimed by ‘VeliPuivari’, who received an extra $24,505.84 plus bounties worth $1,790 to celebrate the holidays.
While the top 3 enjoyed their Christmas bounties, the player with the most to celebrate was ‘Inauspuntos’. While they did not fare overly well in the tournament, finishing 233rd for $232.65, they did manage to find a few bounties, including the big Mystery bounty. In total, they unwrapped $61,000 in bounties to end the year with an extra $61,232.65.
Event #12: Boxing Day Bounty Bash (6-max)
Boxing Day brought more entertainment. While some people were out finding the best deals on new toys, 6,112 poker players thought better and spent the time playing in the $54 buy-in Boxing Day Bounty Bash. This holiday event offered a $250,000 guarantee and progressive bounties starting at $12.50 per player. When late registration was completed, the prize pool had grown to $316,144.16, which included the 5% added as part of the Winter Giveaway Series.
The tournament took just over 9.5 hours to complete, at which time ‘Plutus1’ claimed the championship worth $10,297.41. To sweeten the pot further, they had collected bounties worth a total of $7,665.38 for a grand total of $17,962.79. Finishing in second place was ‘Vaski Hop!’, who earned $10,292.70.75 plus $4,482.58 in bounties. Third place went to ‘Linwis Yalida’, who earned $7,800.40 for finishing, plus $1,492.37 in bounties.
Event #13: Flip & Go Ho Ho Ho Friday
Not many things are as exciting as unraveling a golden Mystery Bounty, but a Flip & Go tournament is close, and that is what happened on Friday, December 27th. Event #13 was a $5 Flip & Go with an incredible $100,000 guarantee. With multiple Flip stages leading up to the Go stage, there was enough time for 22,925 runners to get involved in this fast-format poker tournament as the prize pool swelled to $255,776.25, which included the $5,000 add-on.
Of the starters, just 2,474 made it to the final, which took just under 5 hours and 45 minutes to complete. When the last hand was finally dealt, it was ‘lucky_evan’ claiming the victory and top prize of $30,448.71. Finishing in second place, after a well-fought heads-up battle, was ‘Chtototipatogo’, who earned $23,439.72 for the effort while ‘CATL2025’ finished third to earn $18,074.72.
Event #14: $108 GGMasters Bounty Holiday Bonus
The GGMasters series forms the cornerstone of the best freezeout poker tournaments the online realm offers, which is part of why it was added to the Winter Giveaway Series. On Saturday, December 28th, GGPoker hosted Event #14: GGMasters Bounty Holiday Bonus. This rebranded GGMasters tournament offered a $250,000 guarantee with just a $108 buy-in and progressive bounties that started at $25.
A total of 2,999 poker players lined up for this event and created a prize pool of $310,480.64, which included the $12,500 add-on as part of the WGS. The tournament ran for almost exactly 10 hours (10 hours and 34 seconds to be exact) at which point ‘kohuliikemies_’ claimed the last bounty and ended the event having earned $11,385.12 plus $18,353.84 in bounties. Second place went to ‘Artem Kriukov’ who earned $11,382.78 plus $1,415.24 in bounties, and third place was claimed by ‘Poleshchkov’ for $11,611.92 which included $2,567.20 in bounty rewards.
Event #15: Sunday Hundred Grand Holiday Edition
One hundred grand is always great. Adding 5% is even better. However, being it’s the holidays, and GGPoker is hosting the Winter Giveaway Series, the Sunday Hundred Grand turned into a $15 buy-in $200,000 guarantee with $10,000 added – a great way to celebrate the last weekend of the new year. In fact, it was so great that 20,589 poker players joined the fray, creating a prize pool of $294,128.20.
The event took over 10.25 hours to complete as ‘TILTED TEO’ took it down to win $23,854.85. Second place went to ‘TheCrazyMonkey’, who put up a good fight but, in the end, had to be consoled by the $18,387.05 runner-up windfall. The last place on the podium was earned by ‘Sergiy_Skr’, who earned $14,178.35 for the finish.
