Back in August of 2020, GGPoker set the record for biggest prize pool in an online poker tournament with a staggering $27,559,500 prize pool. This achievement well surpassed the previous record, set a few months earlier by PokerStars in their 14th Anniversary Sunday Millions, which had an $18.6 Million prize pool.

The record, which pundits thought would last, was unofficially broken earlier today when the combined Day 1 flights of the WSOP Online MAIN EVENT attracted 6,023 unique players, creating a prize pool of $28,609,250.

GGPoker today announces the 2nd iteration of $11 Flip & Go Millionaire, a special tournament with at least $1,000,000 in cash prizes to be won. As in 2022, the Flip Stages run hourly from November 1, with the Go (In The Money) Stage hosted on November 11.

Players can qualify for pennies, with $11 Flip & Go Millionaire satellites starting from just $0.11.

In a Flip & Go tournament, players select their preferred buy-in multiplier when registering for the event. The higher the multiplier, the larger the starting chip stack in the Flip Stage; for example, a player that selects a x4 multiplier and buys in for $44, will start with four times the usual starting stack.

When the action begins, players are dealt three cards and must discard one, before the community cards are dealt and the hand resolved. Each table plays down to a winner in a matter of moments, who then proceeds to the Go Stage and is now guaranteed a cash prize.

The Go Stage plays out as a standard No Limit Hold’em tournament.

Twelve-episode series combines thrilling poker action and survival reality TV

Dublin, Ireland (October 31, 2023) –GGPoker today announces the debut of Poker After Dark’s Game of Gold, an exciting new poker game series that combines the competitiveness of high-stakes poker action with the excitement of reality TV.

Broadcast on the GGPoker.tv YouTube channel, the first episode of Game of Gold will be available on Wednesday, November 8 at 12:00 UTC, with the second episode released on Friday, November 10 at the same time and subsequent episodes launched each Monday, Wednesday and Friday through December 4.

Filmed in Seoul, South Korea and hosted by experienced poker broadcaster Ali Nejad, Game of Gold combines high-stakes poker with survival reality TV. Over the course of the 12 episodes, the sixteen participants compete across a variety of poker formats, including Sit & Go and Heads-Up games, Indian Poker and a standard tournament poker game, with players that fall short at the poker table eliminated from the show.
