Games & Features Guide

Your complete guide to every poker variant, game format, and feature on the platform
Walk into the GGPoker lobby and you’ll find more than just a Texas Hold’em cash table. From lottery-style Spin & Gold tournaments to lightning-fast Rush & Cash sessions and even a full casino section, GGPoker packs an enormous variety of games into one platform.
Whether you’re a Hold’em grinder, an Omaha enthusiast, or someone who just wants to spin a quick three-handed tournament during your lunch break, this guide covers every game and feature available to you.
Poker Variants Available on GGPoker
GGPoker offers multiple poker variants across both cash games and tournaments. If you’re still finding your feet with the different game types, our overview of Hold’em, Short Deck, and more is a great starting point.
No-Limit Hold’em (NLH)
The king of poker games and GGPoker’s most popular offering. Two hole cards, five community cards, no-limit betting structure. Available across cash games, tournaments, Spin & Gold, Rush & Cash, and every other format on the platform.
Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO)
Four hole cards instead of two, and you must use exactly two of them. The pot-limit betting structure creates massive pots and wild action. Available in both cash games and tournaments, PLO players enjoy the thrill of higher variance and bigger swings.
PLO-5 (5-Card Omaha)
Take PLO and add another hole card. Five cards, but you still must use exactly two. Even more hand combinations leads to even more action. This is the variant for players who find regular Omaha too tame.
PLO-6 (6-Card Omaha)
Take PLO-5 and add another hole card. You’re now playing with six cards, but you’re still limited to using only two of them. This increases the potential for big hands even more! This is the ultimate variant for players who want big hands and love the variance.
Short Deck (6+ Hold’em)
All cards below 6 are removed, creating a 36-card deck that fundamentally changes the game. Flushes beat full houses. Aces work as low cards for straights (A-6-7-8-9). The compressed deck creates more premium hands and more action at every table.
Special Game Formats
Beyond traditional poker variants, GGPoker has innovated with several unique game formats that you won’t find on most other platforms.

Spin & Gold
Spin & Gold is GGPoker’s flagship lottery-style Sit & Go format, and one of the most popular games on the platform.
- Format: Three or Six-player hyper-turbo Sit & Go tournaments.
- The Spin: Before the game begins, a spinner randomly determines the prize pool multiplier. The multiplier ranges from 2x up to a massive 200,000x the buy-in.
- Structure: Hyper-turbo blind levels with short starting stacks. Games typically last just a few minutes, but the bigger the prize, the slower the game.
- Prizes: Lower multipliers are winner-take-all. At higher multipliers, all three players receive a portion of the prize pool.
- Buy-ins: Available from around $0.25 up to $200.
The jackpot element makes every Spin & Gold session exciting. You could be playing for 2x your buy-in or for a life-changing prize, and you won’t know until the spinner stops. For strategy on how to approach these fast-paced games, check out our guide to hyper-turbo tournament strategy.

Rush & Cash
GGPoker’s fast-fold cash game format is perfect for players who hate waiting.
- How it works: The moment you fold, you’re instantly moved to a new table with new opponents and a new hand. No waiting for the current hand to finish.
- Player pool: All players at your stake level share one large pool, so you’re constantly facing different opponents.
- Available in: No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha.
- Speed: You can play 2-3x more hands per hour compared to regular cash games.
Rush & Cash is ideal for players who want maximum volume in minimum time. It’s also great for clearing bonuses and building Ocean Reward points quickly.
All-In or Fold (AoF)
Poker stripped down to its most basic decision: go all-in or fold. That’s it.
- Stack sizes: Around 8 big blinds, creating pure push-or-fold scenarios.
- Speed: Extremely fast-paced. Each hand takes seconds.
- Available in: NLH and PLO.
- Appeal: Simplified decision-making makes this accessible to casual players while still rewarding those who understand push-fold ranges.
Flip & Go
A unique two-stage tournament format that combines luck and skill.
- Stage 1 (Flip): All players at a table are dealt cards and go all-in automatically. This is pure luck — one winner per table advances.
- Stage 2 (Go): Winners from Stage 1 proceed to a regular poker tournament with standard play.
- Appeal: Quick entry into a real tournament. The flip phase eliminates the early grind, getting you straight to meaningful poker faster.

Mystery Battle Royale
A 2-round elimination-style format with a survival twist.
- How it works: 18 players start and when the field is down to 9 players, or after 10 minutes, the final table starts. The final 3 finish in the money, while everyone at the final table earns a mystery bounty worth up to $250,000 for every knockout.
- Strategy: Survival is everything. You don’t have to be the chip leader, you just don’t want to be at the bottom.
- Structure: Blinds may increase between rounds, and play continues until one player remains.
Tournament Types on GGPoker
GGPoker runs one of the most comprehensive tournament schedules in online poker. Here’s what you’ll find in the tournament lobby. For a deeper dive, see our beginner’s guide to poker tournament types.
Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs)
The bread and butter of tournament poker. GGPoker offers freezeout, re-entry, and rebuy formats with guarantees ranging from micro-stakes to multi-million dollar events. A daily and weekly schedule ensures there’s always something running.
Progressive Knockout (PKO) / Bounty Tournaments
A portion of each buy-in goes to the player’s bounty. Eliminate an opponent and you win half their bounty. The other half of the bounty is added to yours, making you an increasingly valuable target. GGPoker is known for running a huge volume of PKO events.
Mystery Bounty Tournaments
Similar to PKO, but with a twist: bounty prizes are not awarded until the tournament is ‘in the money’, and the amounts are random. You might knock out a player and receive a small bounty or hit a massive one. The unpredictability adds an extra layer of excitement.
GGMasters
GGPoker’s recurring flagship tournament series features the best freezeout competition anywhere online. Players can also challenge themselves to improve every week for a chance at $1,650 in rewards.
WSOP Online Bracelet Events
GGPoker is the official online partner of the World Series of Poker, hosting online ring and bracelet events with real WSOP jewelry on the line. These are among the most prestigious online tournaments in the world.
Satellite Tournaments
Feeder tournaments that award seats into bigger buy-in events. GGPoker’s satellite system creates a path from micro-stakes buy-ins all the way to major live and online events — including WSOP packages.
Multi-Flight Tournaments
Large tournaments with multiple starting flights (Day 1A, 1B, 1C, etc.). Enter multiple flights and carry forward your best stack, giving you multiple shots at building a competitive chip stack.
Casino Games on GGPoker
Beyond poker, GGPoker offers a casino section with popular casino games for when you want a change of pace.
- Slots — Various themed slot games.
- Blackjack — Standard casino blackjack.
- Roulette — European and other roulette variants.
- Baccarat — Classic baccarat gameplay.
- Live Dealer — Real-time games with live dealers, available in some regions.
Casino game availability varies by jurisdiction and is subject to separate regulatory requirements. Check the casino tab in your client for your specific options.
Client Features That Set GGPoker Apart
GGPoker’s client comes loaded with built-in tools and features that you won’t find on competing platforms. These are among the most essential poker tools available to online players today.
Smart HUD
GGPoker’s proprietary built-in heads-up display shows real-time statistics about your opponents directly at the table.
- Key stats: VPIP (Voluntarily Put Money in Pot), PFR (Pre-Flop Raise percentage), and other basic metrics.
- Level playing field: Third-party HUDs (PokerTracker, Hold’em Manager, etc.) are banned on GGPoker. The Smart HUD is the only permitted data overlay, available equally to all players.
- Why it matters: Recreational players and professionals see the same information, preventing data-mining advantages.
PokerCraft
GGPoker’s built-in analytics and hand review tool replaces the need for third-party tracking software.
- Hand replayer — Review every hand you’ve played with a visual replayer.
- Results tracking — Profit/loss graphs over any time period.
- Statistics dashboard — VPIP, PFR, 3-bet %, aggression factor, and more.
- Filters — Sort by game type, stakes, date range, and session.
- Free for all players — Fully integrated into the client at no extra cost.

Built-In Staking
GGPoker’s staking platform lets you buy shares of tournament players or sell action in your own tournaments.
- Browse available players and invest in those you believe will perform well.
- If the player cashes, backers receive a proportional share of profits.
- Reduces variance for tournament players and gives casual players a stake in the action.
EV Cashout
The EV Cashout system protects you from Bad Beats. When multiple players are all-in, and the hole cards are revealed, anyone with 60% or greater pot equity and more than 20BB will be offered an EV Cashout option. The EV Cashout will be based on the current EV of the hand. If the player accepts the cashout, they receive the amount shown, and the hand plays out risk free. Otherwise, play continues as it normally would with the results being what they are. The EV Cashout option will only appear after the flop.
Other Notable Features
- RIMT (Run it Multiple Times) — When all-in, run the remaining community cards twice, splitting the pot between two boards. Reduces variance.
- SnapCam — Send short video reactions to opponents at the table using your webcam.
- Rabbit Hunt — After a hand ends, see what the remaining community cards would have been.
- Squeeze — A visual card-reveal animation where you slowly “squeeze” to reveal your hole cards.
- Customization — Personalize cards, table themes, and avatars.
Game Integrity and Fair Play
GGPoker invests heavily in ensuring every game is fair and secure.
Anti-Collusion and Anti-Bot Measures
Advanced algorithms analyze betting patterns and hand histories to detect collusion (players secretly working together) and bots (automated software). Detected accounts are banned, and confiscated funds are redistributed to affected players.
Real-Time Assistance (RTA) Ban
The use of any real-time assistance tools, solvers, or software that provides advice during play is strictly prohibited. Players caught using RTA face account suspension and fund seizure.
Third-Party Software Ban
GGPoker bans most third-party tools, including external HUDs, seating scripts, and automated table-selection software. The Smart HUD is the only permitted data overlay.
Certified RNG
GGPoker uses a certified Random Number Generator that is regularly audited by independent testing agencies. The platform is licensed by multiple gaming authorities, including the UK Gambling Commission and the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission.
Players can report suspicious activity through the client. GGPoker’s dedicated security team investigates all reports and takes action where warranted.
