T$ Builder	A GGPoker-exclusive tournament series with no rake, so 100% of the buy-in goes into the prize pool. Events start every 30 minutes, with only two players required to run. Prizes are paid entirely in T$ (Tournament Dollars), a currency usable for future tournament entries or staking, but not withdrawable as cash. Table Image	How other players perceive you based on your observed actions. Players may adjust their play based on your table image, and it can be intentionally manipulated to set up a trap later on.
Table Stakes	This is specific to live cash games, a rule that requires players to only bet with the chips they have on the table at the beginning of a hand, and not to add more money to their stack during a hand.
Table Talk	Conversation between players, dealers, or the rail during a hand. General conversation is normal and often encouraged in live poker, but discussing the specific contents of a hand in progress, such as speculating about an opponent’s cards, is against the rules, since it can give away information others aren’t entitled to.
TAG	Tight-Aggressive. A style of play where a player is selective about which hands they enter but plays them aggressively with bets and raises. TAG is often described as the baseline for solid, disciplined poker.
Tainted Outs	Cards that technically complete your draw but simultaneously give an opponent an even stronger hand. A tainted out looks like help, but it isn’t. Hitting one tends to cost you a larger pot than you would have lost otherwise.
Tank	The act of taking an extended period of time to make a decision, often due to uncertainty or the complexity of the situation.
Tell	A physical or behavioral cue that gives away information about a player’s hand. Tells can be subtle, timing, chip handling, posture, and experienced players watch for patterns to gain an edge.
Texas Hold’em	The world’s most popular variant of poker in which each player is dealt two private cards and shares five community cards with the other players, with the goal of making the best five-card hand possible. For more details, see GGPoker’s Texas Hold’em section.
Texture	A description of how connected the board cards are to each other and to common hand ranges. A dry board offers few drawing possibilities; a wet board has multiple draws in play.
Three of a Kind	A poker hand made with three cards of the same rank.
Three-Bet	The first re-raise in a betting round, most commonly preflop. See also: Re-raise.
Tight	1) See Full House. 2) Playing a narrower-than-average range of starting hands. A tight player is selective about when they get involved, which makes their range more predictable but harder to beat when they enter a pot.
Tilt	A mental state where frustration, anger, or recent losses cause a player to make decisions they wouldn’t otherwise make. Recognizing your own tilt is part of the discipline required to play consistently well.
Time collection	An alternative to a rake, this is a fee charged by the casino or card room for playing at a table, typically calculated based on time spent rather than money won or lost. Also known as a Time Charge, Table Charge, or Session Fee.
Toke	A tip given to a poker dealer as a gesture of appreciation for their service. Most common in live cash games after winning a pot, but also customary in tournaments, typically as a percentage of a cash finish.
To Go	The amount it costs a player to stay in the current hand. When the dealer says ‘it’s $20 to go,’ the call is $20.
Top Pair	Pairing the highest card on the board with one of your hole cards. On a K-9-3 board, holding a King gives you top pair. Its strength depends on your kicker and what range of hands your opponents might be playing.
Top Kicker	The best possible secondary card to accompany a made pair, given the cards in play. For example, if you hold A-K and pair the King, your Ace is the top kicker, since no unpaired card beats it as a second-best card for that pair.
Top Two Pair	Holding a card that matches the highest card on the board and another card matching the second-highest. For example, on a K-J-5 board, holding K-J gives top two pair.
Tournament	A poker format where all players pay a fixed buy-in and receive an equal starting stack of chips. Play continues until one player holds all the chips. Payouts are distributed across a portion of the field, weighted toward the top finishers. Unlike cash games, tournament chips have no direct cash value, their worth fluctuates based on ICM considerations. Most major poker events, including the WSOP Main Event and GGPoker’s major series, are tournaments.
Trap	See Slow Play.
Treys	Slang for any card with the rank of three, derived from the French word for three. A pair of threes can be called either Treys or Crabs.
Triple Barrel	Betting the flop, turn, and river in sequence, as the same player who led each previous street. See also: Double Barrel.
Trips	When one of a player’s hole cards in Texas Hold’em connect with two cards on the board to make three of a kind. This differs from a set where three of a kind is made when a pocket pair connects with one card on the flop to make three of a kind.
Turbo	A tournament format where blind levels increase faster than standard play, requiring quicker decisions and a more aggressive approach.
Turn	The fourth community card, dealt face-up after the flop and followed by a betting round. Also called Fourth Street.
Two Pair	A poker hand consisting of two different pairs, plus an unrelated fifth card.
