The GG World Festival 2026 is entering its final stretch and the GGPoker community is not letting up. With the $1,500 GG World Championship now in the books and the series charging toward its June 9 conclusion, Episode 9 brings one of the heaviest Sunday slates of the entire festival, spanning global and Ontario action on May 31. Phase finals, two-day events, mystery bounties, and a landmark Ontario championship all landed on the same day, making for one of the busiest weekends of the series. Here is how it all went down.

SUPER TIER

Phase Event: $1,500 Omaholic Championship [Final Day] Super Tier | $1,000,000 Guarantee

The Omaholic Championship drew 1,075 entrants across its phase starting days, building a $1,531,875 prize pool, with 91 survivors returning for the final day. After 5 hours and 44 minutes of PLO action, the last three struck an ICM chop that scrambled the payout order entirely, with Pedro Neves collecting the largest share despite being lowest on the podium.

Eighty-three players sent the prize pool to $415,000, and it was a Brazilian one-two at the top when the final hand hit the felt after 7 hours and 46 minutes, with V Buldygin of Russia rounding out the podium. Buldygin sits atop the Global Super leaderboard and keeps adding results to back it up.

Three hundred thirty-seven entries produced a $480,225 prize pool, and kakashi hatake of Poland pulled off something rare, winning the tournament outright and claiming the biggest mystery bounty simultaneously. The combined payday topped $122,000. Dennis Volz finished third but collected $67,512.50 in bounties, nearly 22 times what second place Gabriel Medeiros took home in envelopes.
