GGPOKER

A year after its 2024 run, the WSOP Online Super Circuit returned to GGPoker in the spring of 2025, and it came back bigger. From March 2 through March 31, the series again hung $100 million in guarantees on eighteen gold-ring events, with buy-ins climbing from $50 to just over a thousand, and it again pointed everything toward a $10 million Main Event.

Every ring still carried the same bonus attached: a seat in the $1,000,000 Tournament of Champions, the summer freeroll reserved for winners. Win one of the eighteen, and the felt in Las Vegas was already waiting.

A Bigger Main Event

The $525 Main Event outgrew its guarantee without much trouble. A field of 23,249 players built an $11,624,500 prize pool, comfortably clear of the $10 million promise and larger than the 2024 edition before it, with 2,310 of them surviving to Day 2.

It ended in a heads-up chop, and an unusual one. ‘CheckYoMama’ took the gold ring and $1,230,227.08, while runner-up ‘ViktorShaoShen’ actually banked slightly more from the deal, $1,241,990.39, and played on only for the hardware. ‘A Zlotnikov’ rounded out the podium for $829,728.12. It was the second straight spring the Super Circuit’s Main Event had sailed past its eight-figure guarantee, and this one cleared it by more than a million and a half.

The $500,000 River Queen

The moment of the series arrived in Event #6, the $215 Mystery Millions, and it did not belong to the winner. In a three-way all-in, a Queen fell on the river to complete a set for Austria’s ‘dunarr’, and the pot came attached to the largest mystery bounty in the field: a flat $500,000.

dunarr had finished 427th. The ring and $393,189 went to ‘bagoch’, but the story, and the money, belonged to a player who had busted hundreds of spots earlier, out of a 31,390-entry field worth more than $6.2 million. It was not even the only monster envelope of the month. Back in the Event #2 Kick-Off, ‘L jiayianutsc’ finished 20th and collected $140,100 in bounties, the $100,000 top prize among them. The mystery bounty has become the signature of these online series precisely because of hands like dunarr’s, where one river card can be worth more than a year of most players’ results.

Eighteen Rings

As always, the Super Circuit scattered its gold across every stake. ‘FXXKMYLIF3’ won the opening BIG 500 for $416,868.55, the largest ring prize outside the Main Event. At the other extreme, a $50 Mini Main Event drew an astonishing 57,126 entries, and ‘Insert_Coin’ navigated all of them to a $238,019 payday, proof that fifty dollars still buys a shot at real WSOP gold.

The pros collected their share. PLO specialist Simon Mattsson took the BIG 500 PLO Bounty, Manfred Hermann won the $365 Super GIANT for $157,746.99, and David Gilbert took the $1,050 GGMasters Circuit Championship for $214,377.13. The bounty events, meanwhile, kept minting six-figure knockout hauls: ‘GGPK–666’ won the $400 COLOSSUS and its 13,248 runners for more than $349,000 once the bounties landed, and ‘EasyShips’ cleared $112,804 in bounties alone on the way to the PLOSSUS ring. Down through the schedule the gold kept changing hands: ‘liparik’ won the $300 Deepstack Championship for $124,177, ‘Bernardo Soares’ took the $600 March Mayhem for roughly $141,000 with bounties, and ‘S Massimov’ chopped the $800 6-Max Championship for $186,970. Eighteen events, eighteen champions, every one of them now booked for that Tournament of Champions in the summer.

The Long Nights

The bounty-heavy format has a way of producing marathons, and 2025 was a stamina test. The $1,050 Monster Stack ran for twenty-nine hours, thirty-six minutes and change before ‘Erik Tamm’ emerged with $92,803.33 plus $103,429.80 in bounties. The $800 Bounty NLH Championship went past twenty-eight hours before ‘Ochaa’ claimed it for $79,517 plus $84,900 in bounties, and the COLOSSUS needed twenty-six and three-quarter hours of Day 2 alone to settle. Winning one of these rings, it turns out, is partly a test of who can still see straight by sunrise.

With the rings handed out, the Super Circuit did its usual job of pointing everyone west. The Road to Vegas 2025 promotion ran alongside it the whole way, scattering Main Event packages worth up to $12,000 and dangling a $1,000,000 bonus for any GGPoker qualifier who could go and win the whole thing in the desert. By the end of March it had minted eighteen new WSOP champions in a single month, every one of them now pointed at the same summer. The rings are won online. The dream still lives in Las Vegas.
