The GG World Festival’s Most Explosive Week Yet

GG World Festival 2026 | Episode 6: May 18 through May 21
The GG World Festival 2026 continues to build serious momentum. The GGPoker community has already shattered guarantees, with $147 million in total prize pools through the first two weeks, running more than 20% above guarantee across the board. That kind of field strength does not happen by accident. It happens because GGPoker consistently draws the biggest and most competitive online poker community on the planet. This past week has kept the energy rolling, as we look at eight global tournaments and three Ontario events spanning May 18 through May 21, and it opens with a result worth savoring. The $525 World Bounty Festival, one of the three marquee $10M GTD events anchoring this festival, has its champion. A field of 2,547 entries generated a $10,804,000 total prize pool, blowing past the $10,000,000 guarantee, and when the final cards hit the felt, it was Shan Yu flying the Ukrainian flag walking away with one of the most spectacular paydays of the entire series. Here is how it all went down.
$525 World Bounty Festival — Final Results
$10,804,000 Total Prize Pool | $10,000,000 Guarantee | 2,547 Entries
Shan Yu entered the final table as one of the shorter stacks and left as the champion, with a bounty haul of $351,483.09 that turned an already massive score into something truly extraordinary. The combined payday of $750,605.70 stands as the signature result of the festival so far.
🥇 1st — Shan Yu (Ukraine) — $399,122.61 + $351,483.09 Bounty Rewards
🥈 2nd — DutchMountain (Netherlands) — $398,760.12 + $45,643.83 Bounty Rewards
🥉 3rd — Ilsu Lim (Thailand) — $308,722.04 + $72,804.68 Bounty Rewards
The prize pool figures for first and second were separated by less than $400, but Shan Yu’s bounty earnings were nearly eight times DutchMountain’s. That gap tells the whole story of how this tournament and final table played out.
