The Weekend Events

On Sunday, September 10th, players gathered for the commencement of the final day of Event #16: Secret Bounty Pot Limit Omaha, the next tournament in the ongoing WSOP Online series. A total of 865 participants vied for the top spot in this tournament that promised bounties of up to $100,000, but only for the players that survived to be in the money. When the dust settled and the last hand dealt, it was ‘UmReiNoRiver’ clinching the title and a substantial reward of $67,567.15 plus an additional $92,000 in bounties. The second biggest winner of the night was ‘Elias Harala’ who finished 23rd, but managed to find the big $100K bounty and earned $103,957.26, nearly $50,000 more than the 2nd place finisher, ‘David Mzareulov’.

The highlight of the third weekend was event #17: MILLIONAIRE MAKER in Paradise. This $1,500 buy-in tournament carried a $5,000,000 guarantee, with the added benefit of the final tables – the last 100 players – finishing the tournament in December in The Bahamas. When the last of the Day 1’s finished, a total of 3,496 players had entered. Play continued until the final 100 remained and that is how they will stay as they wait until December 4th to conclude the event. The break should give them more than enough time to study their opponents and pack for the 11-night vacation at The Cove Luxury Suites.

The last event of the week to finish was event #18: Short Deck Championship. The final table for this $5,0000 buy in event started earlier today with the final 7 players from the 126 buy-in field, which created a total prize pool of $598,500. When the tournament was finally completed, it was ‘Elior benjamin Sion’ taking the top prize, the WSOP bracelet, and $153,471.28 while ‘Marcin Barwinski’ settled for 2nd place and $110,962.51.
